The Spontaneous Healing of Belief,
Shattering the Paradigm of False Limits
by Gregg Braden
In today’s world many of us are trained to be skeptical of information that is not evidenced based. So we are fortunate to have a growing number of authors who can more than adequately bridge the gap between personal experience and science-based quantum science. In this book, Gregg Braden proves again to be one of those authors dedicated to support readers to make the changes in their lives that generate positive change on the planet.
In the Spontaneous Healing of Belief, Braden takes us systematically through specific methods to support change. Our limiting beliefs have created a world that is no longer working. Braden states that for us to shift our limiting beliefs, we need to view things differently. In his travels around the world he has explored the wisdom our ancestors have provided for us. He knows that the miracles the ancestors preserved in ancient manuscripts can also occur today. He also adds information from science that proves these miracles are possible. We are not limited by the laws of physics and biology we learned in school. Indeed, quantum physics supports the idea that we can catapult ourselves beyond the limitations of the past.
In Braden's “reader friendly” style, he elaborates on the quantum language of healing, peace and abundance. He offers concrete methods to support the reader to make the necessary and desired shifts in their beliefs to change the course of their lives.
What is fascinating to me is that he uses enough blending of his personal experiences and his expertise as a former NASA scientist to appeal to any reader interested in exploring how we can creatively move through this transition time on our planet. In “Belief Code 23”, for instance, he invites us to consider that “to heal the ancient battle between darkness and light, we may find it’s less about defeating one or the other, and more about choosing our relationship to both.” (p. 129) We can use this unified force in our lives to address limiting beliefs which in turn restores our power of choice. Braden expertly weaves concepts of computer programming with a deeper exploration of the powers of past masters. He writes, “Today we call their belief programs ‘prayers’, and we can think of them as instructions to consciousness. When we speak the words of the code, they’re designed to create the heart-based beliefs of healing and miracles.” (p. 199)
Braden does not minimize the task of our age, but he continues to frame this task in a way that summons the reader to reflect on their own life. This skill makes this a must read book! “Our job is to look into the world for reasons to believe in ourselves. Each time we find one, it replaces the limitations that we may have held ourselves to in the past. It’s when we abandon ourselves to that new possibility that we shatter the old paradigm of false limits and find the spontaneous healing of our beliefs.” (p. 208)
