Fractal Time
The Secret of 2012 and a New World Age

My partner and I have long been followers of Gregg Braden for two reasons: (1) is that as a world traveler, student of world history and scientist, he remains realistically optimistic about the direction we can create on our planet. (2) is his consistent blending of science and the spiritual wisdom of the ancients who have prepared us for these times.
In his latest book, Fractal Time, Braden merge nature’s patterns which are called fractals, with the ancient view of the cycles of the universe. In a way that causes the reader to take time to reflect upon this merger, he proposes that everything from the war and peace between nations to the patterns of human relationships ALL mirror the returning cycles of our past. He suggests that as each cycle repeats, it actually carries a more powerful, amplified version of itself. He provides the reader with a specific, scientific measuring process he calls the Time Code Calculator to support his proposal.
I am not a numbers person, but I am intrigued by Braden’s masterful presentation of the information contained in the Vedic traditions, the Mayan calendar, the indigenous prophesies of Asia and the Americas, and his awareness of how scientists can now validate astrological alignments such as those in the Vedas through advanced computer programs. “Using everything from prophetic visions to the dates of precise astronomical alignments, our ancestors devised every method imaginable to alert us to a single fact: now is the time of the most extraordinary conditions and opportunities that accompany the rarest of events, the shift from one world age to the next.”
He continues to remind us that “As frightening as some of the stories and prophesies are, however, it’s important to note that there is nothing in any of them that tells us unconditionally that the world itself ends, or leaves any doubt that we will survive what lies before us.”
Fractal Time is Braden’s way of providing a way of viewing this great shift as a call to action for us to fully participate in how it will manifest itself. “At the end of one and the beginning of the next, nature offers us the greatest chance for change. So it’s precisely because so many different cycles -- of such great magnitude, representing so many different kinds of experiences -- are ending within the same period of time that the 2010 time frame may well represent one of our best junctures to make new choices. As the old cycles end and the new ones begin, we share the rare opportunity to reset the course of our personal and global paths for the future.”
Whether we find support in Braden’s Time Code Calculator as a way of addressing what is occurring on our planet or not, we can agree with him that the scientific results are now conclusive, that heart-based focus and heart-based living will have a direct effect upon the way we experience 2012 and our time of change.
