EDITORS NOTE

"Don't be dismayed at goodbyes.
A farewell is necessary before you can meet again.
And meeting again, after moments or lifetime, is certain
for those who are friends."

-Richard Bach

We at Spirit Living, have come to the difficult decision of having to bring this form of our journalistic experiment to a close.

Whether it is the economic situation or unfortunate timing, we arrived in May having to make a hard choice.  Besides our love, it took financial resources and hundreds of hours of time from the Spirit Living team to bring this magazine to your email boxes. Unfortunately, with too few advertisers and subscribers we find ourselves unable to continue this version of our work.

However, as Ivy Baker Priest said, "The world is round and the place which may seem like the end may also be the beginning."  Since May is my birthday month and the beginning of a new year for me, there are new things in the works!

As I write this, Allie and I are creating an entirely new web presence for Spirit Passages. This will include a fresh site with interactive content, downloads and even the development of a unique, internet-based programing section for those of you who live far from the coast of Maine. This exciting evolution will also include a free e-newsletter in which our Spirit Living columnists have agreed to contribute. Since each of you will receive that newsletter, you'll be able to keep up with your favorites.

Our thanks go out to Tom and Leslie at Beaver and Bear for doing a wonderful job as publishers. They have agreed to continue hosting the magazine's home website which will have links to every issue. It's been a rich collaboration and because of it you can count on us getting into more mischief together!

Thanks also to Donna, Susan, Heather and Dave for their fine efforts. Each of you has enriched our lives. You've inspired us, made us think, and even caused us to laugh aloud!  We look forward to showcasing more of your delicious talents in our e-newsletter.

To you dear readers, Allie and I offer our heart-felt gratitude. To everyone who cheered us forward with your e-mails and kind words, we are touched by your outpourings of loving support.  We look forward to connecting with and serving you in new ways.

Ours is a wonderful community! Spirit Living readers love the Earth and want to see it become a healthier, safer and more peaceful place. Certainly, it is the perspective and passion that fuels Allie and I and is at the heart of our work as Spirit Passages. We will continuing to hold and nurture that vision.

So dear friends, rather than good bye let's say, "À bientôt" -- "See you soon!" -- and may all our days be filled with many blessings!
